Fill your business with a soundtrack

Sometimes, a day just needs brightening up. Whether it’s because your employees have braved the bad weather to come in, or because you know they have a tough few weeks ahead. But there are simple things managers can do to give your workforce a quick top up of energy. Fill your business with a soundtrack and you will enjoy a re-invigorated working day.

AXA PPP have been conducting a survey into little things that mean a lot and have come up with a list of the UK’s favourite, feel good films. And the best part is, all of them have a theme tune! So why not play a little Greased Lightning as your employees set themselves up for the day? Or play some Mamma Mia until everyone is clicking their fingers and merrily beginning work?

We do however suggest that perhaps you should leave out the re-enactment of ‘you can leave your hat on’ if The Full Monty is a top choice for your organisation…

You could even go one step further and organise a movie night for your employees one Friday night or even show films at lunchtimes to encourage office cohesion.

The reason for this is simple. As AXA PPP highlighted, these films all have a common theme. The hero overcomes the odds and eventually ends in victory. This sort of feel good message, mixed in with a few well known anthems encourage chatter, bonding and camaraderie within a team. All signs of a healthy and productive team.

Gestures like this may not cost the earth or work towards your employees becoming fitter, but they can certainly help with mental wellbeing. You’d be surprised by how many people would jump at the chance to mingle with co-workers in a less pressurised environment, away from the bars, or fun run tracks.

Fill your workplace with the right soundtrack
